EVENTS IN AUCKLAND - March 2013
Check Out Pacific-As...some great Pacific Events taking place this March in Auckland
February
and March offer the most settled and reliable summer weather in New Zealand and
is an excellent time to visit the country. Our summer school holidays have finished and all tourist facilities are
fully operational. Daytime temperatures
will vary from around 15 – 24 degrees Celsius (59 – 75 Fahrenheit). Be prepared for the odd cooler evening and a rain jacket and umbrella
could be useful. Our sun is stronger
than in most parts of the world – wear sunscreen every day, even when it is
cloudy and especially if it is windy.
Rosedale Park can be found on Auckland’s beautiful North Shore. The stadium grounds are located on Jack Hinton Drive in Albany. The stadium is approximately a 10minute drive to local beaches and 20 minute drive to Auckland City centre.
Parking is available from the Paul Matthews end of Jack Hinton Drive and is situated at North Harbour Hockey

Public transport to the stadium area has a limited frequency, however, there are four services to be aware of:
Northern Express: An excellent service that runs every 10-15 mins from the central city to the North Shore. This service will provide a quick transport option along a designated bus route to the Constellation Drive Bus Stop. Constellation bus stop is located just over a 2 km flat walk to the stadium.

Routes: 555. 880. 887: All these North Shore based routes include a stop at the Constellation Drive Bus Stop and and travel along either Rosedale Road (northern end of Jack Hinton Drive & main entrance to stadium) or Paul Matthews Rd (southern end of Jack Hinton Drive)

25 Men's and Women's teams from both Australia and New Zealand will be playing in
this tournament at the same ground as the World Championships (Rosedale Park,
Albany) on Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th March 2013.
Spaces are available for both Men and Women - teams or individuals to play in this
tournament!
